Land Reforms Office
INTRODUCTION:
After liberation of Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the Government of India has promulgated the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Land Reforms Regulation-1971 which came into force w.e.f. 01.05.1974.

The main object of the Regulation is to abolish Alwara and Teram tenures to confer occupancy rights on Alwara and Teram holders and their tenants to impose a ceiling on possession of agricultural land, to provide for acquisition and distribution of land held in excess of such ceiling and to regulate the relation of landlords and tenants in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

ACTIVITIES: 1. To grant Occupancy Rights for agriculture land.

2. To grant Occupancy Rights for village site land.

3. To allot ceiling surplus land to landless agriculture laborers for agriculture purpose.

4. To provide certified copies of Judgment, Adesh as well as documents filed by concerned land holder in Land Reforms Case on payment of Rs. 2/- per page.

Forms:1. So far grant of Occupancy Rights for agriculture land, Landholder has to furnish details in prescribed form-VI in duplicate.

2. So far grant of occupancy rights for village site land, applicant has to furnish details in attached form.

3. So far(i) and (ii), the land holder/applicant has to furnish required documentary evidences as per attached notice as prescribed.

4. So far allotment of ceiling surplus land, the landless person has to apply in prescribed Form-X in duplicate.

5. So fas supply of certified copies of judgment, Adesh as well as other related documents, land holder has to apply in simple letter affixing 0.50 paisa Court fee stamp (not applicable for ST/SC) along with village Form VII-XII and Form-VI with related entries.
